,I promised Andrea Anderson I would insert her thoughts here. She really has some good points. Please Read (SOLDIER PROJECT

It is with sadness in my heart that I feel I have to write this.  Christmas time has come and gone and I took 4 sacks out of the “SOLDIER BOX” by the front door of the Club.  The items filled a box about the size of a small microwave box compared to years past when I filled a box about the size of a refrigerator.   We were all home with families, Christmas trees, presents and all warm and cozy.  Our soldiers were away from family, trees, presents and probably warm but not so cozy.  I wish I could have sent them items to bring a smile to their face and made where they are a little better during the holiday. Also to let them know they are not forgotten and we appreciate the sacrifice they are making for us but VERY little was sent.   Thank you to the few that remembered our soldiers and put items in the box and shame on you who didn’t think it was important enough.   My question to you is “ WHY DO YOU BELONG TO A MILITARY CLUB WHEN YOU DON’T’ WANT TO HELP VETERANS?”)

Hi All...

Wow, February already. Think Spring. First and foremost we need people to fill officer positions! PLEASE !!!!! Alot of you are here already why not come to the meeting ? They are very short and we just need some input. A BIG thanks goes out to our pizza crew. They do a wonderful job. Remember the Red Elephant Party Feb 21st, it's a blast. Let your family and friends know about the free military dinners coming up. Check the board for the dates. We still need the soldier box to be filled. Be thoughtful and give to our troops. I'm sure they would like to have a few fun things from home. Be sure to thank Frank and Laurie for all they do.

Until next time................

Until next month …. Enjoy the club....

HI EVERYONE,

Hard to believe  it is February!  The longest  short  month of the year. Seems like it  will  never  end.  Well the dinners  that a Frank had were a big success.   The spaghetti  and meatloaf  were both delicious.   Great job Frank!   Don't  forget  about our upcoming dinners for those who were in the services. Army  is January 31 and the others are to follow each week.  You would have to check the flier for when your branch dinner is. Bring down your spouse it only cost $5.00.  It's a good  way to meet others  that were in your branch.  If you weren't  in the service and just want to help out and says thank you to the vets--see Frank  or Laurie.   Also upcoming is the red elephant  party.  It was a great time last year for those of us who attended. Hope to see some new faces this year.   Don't  forget about the Superbowl party.  Even if you don't  like the teams come enjoy some great food and good spirits. Well that is it for now.  Don't forget to  thank our bartenders for the great work  they do!  See you at the club
